The Wild Salmon Supporters program is driven by the Coastal Alliance for Aquaculture Reform, a coalition of eight conservation groups, First Nations and scientists from Canada's Pacific coast. Formed in 2001, CAAR works to ensure salmon farming in BC is safe for wild salmon, marine ecosystems, coastal communities and human health.

With a strong membership of researchers, scientists, NGOs, chefs, restaurants, retailers, and concerned citizens, CAAR members are active in efforts to create a shift to a more sustainable aquaculture industry. To learn more about CAAR, please visit www.farmedanddangerous.org.
