An exciting learning forum for ocean-loving chefs!
The Canadian Chefs' Congress has chosen "Oceans for Tomorrow" as their theme for 2010. Beginning with the keynote speaker, Dr. David Suzuki, delegates will have the opportunity to learn more about our oceans and how chefs are acting as powerful agents for change through their personal actions, the choices they make in their restaurants, and by inspiring their guests. There are problems in our oceans - from overfishing of magnificent bluefin tuna to pollution from chemicals and plastics - but there are many incredible stories of how ocean life is rebounding when given the chance. By taking positive actions today, we can have healthy, thriving ocean ecosystems, and a sustainable supply of healthy seafood tomorrow. The seminars and workshops at the Chefs' Congress will bring ocean issues to life in a way that links directly with the daily decisions and actions of chefs. The Congress will also be a great place to get connected with leading environmental programs, like SeaChoice and Wild Salmon Supporters.
